Trakai is truly a touristy area and of course there is lots of people trying to sell you something and or offering their services. I met a crusty sailor guy just before we sat down for lunch and gave him a Canada pin to wear. Later when we were just finishing up at the Island Castle he spotted me and we joined him for a boat ride around the lake. Took a while but the boat ride was superb. Now you can see why Lukas and I are now best friends!!! After we got off the boat Lukas stood on the dock and didn't want to come back to the mainland instead wanting to go out on another boat ride. Next time Lukas ... I promise.
Enjoy the view of the castle it is very different from the view on shore.

Hi Dennis. Thanks for all of the photos of scenes with actual sunshine. We've had very few days when it has not rained, so we appreciate enjoying this vicariously with you. Very impressed with your weight loss and your continued dedication to seeing sights on foot whenever possible. Say hello any of our 'friends' that you run into in Paris. I appreciate your comment about the straight faced audience during your presentation. Don't be disappointed. I can't think of a single great comedian from the countries represented in that group!
