Last Friday ( July 8th ... I'm trying to catch up so bare with me ) was the 16'th anniversary of Denis and Janice meeting so it was their day and they decided everything we were doing that day and from my perspective is was nice that they took the lead for a change rather than myself. Janice wanted to go to the Marais to shop and look around and Denis wanted to go to a sculpture park which was on the way. We never did find the sculpture park but we did find a huge natural park ... gazebo ... petting zoo ... huge gardens ... greenhouses etc.
Walked over to the Bastille along the Seine and Denis and Janice found a real neat shop with all kinds of eclectic things for their newly renovated bathroom.
We ended the walk with fallafels and shawrama's at L'as du Fallafel on rue DesRosiers. The best in the city.
This set us up nicely for our dinner out in the village du Montmartre that Jerome had recommended. I blogged about that evening a few days back ... re-read it .... we had one of the best nights of our trip.
