Day 13 - Top of Europe

We are so lucky. every time we head out to do something the weather co-operates fully. Yesterday we went up to the "Top of Europe" .... to the top of the Jungfrau mountain in the Interlaken Valley. The weather is critical since the primary purpose of going to the top of a mountain is the view and if it is overcast then all would be lost. It was absolutely totally clear and sunny all day so it was the perfect day to do this. The day we arrived it was overcast and I just looked out the window this morning (I'm posting the morning since I couldn't find a WiFi line last night) but this morning it is foggy and we are heading back to Paris tomorrow morning so the only day was yesterday and it was perfect.
We rented a car for our trip to Switzerland and drove through the mountains up to Grindewald which is quite a drive through mountain roads. Hopped on train there and took the excursion up to the top of the mountain and without any exaggeration you go to the top of the mountain as you can see from some of the pics. And the view is indeed all that it appears. It is also somewhat cold up there and the air is thin so it is difficult to breath. Bun sat in a corner and didn't do much walking around but the rest of us explored every inch of this place and I think collectively took over a thousand pictures most of which you will have to wait to see but I'll try to post some of the best.
I felt like crap afterwards since I over did it but it was worth it. Had a casual dinner at the hotel afterwards and then just sat on the balcony and listened to the water for a few hours. Very relaxing.
Till tomorrow.
