Day 8 - Balloon Ride

Fantastic .... the pictures tell it all.
I recommend either a good map or a GPS system if you plan to drive in Paris. We were so awful it was funny. A number of U turns ... a least three times around one of the round-abouts trying to find the correct street and Tom getting so flustured with three of us giving directions that he stalled the car twice in the middle of a busy street ... horns ablazing at us but we were just dumb tourists so who cares eh, once the wrong way on a one way street and Tom even turning the wipers on instead of the turn signal ... very funny. It was comical but we made it to the Chatheau. Only one upcoming divorce in the works but that is a small price to pay since at one point I think we all could have been walking. Thanks Tom for getting us to our destinations.
We drove to Epernay and toured the cellars of Moet and Chandon first and then drove to the Chatheau. It is one of the rare places where the internet pictures do not do the place justice. I will write separately about all this though.
Our balloon ride was nothing short of spectacular and the pictures tell a good part of the story. A little over three hours start to finish and about 50 kilometres in the air. We were all still smiling this morning and will be for days to come. Thanks Mary Lou for the great weather.
We finished the day off with a dinner to beat all dinners and I will also write about this at a later date. The European keyboard has the keys in a different position and it is difficult to type. I was wiped and intoxicated (again) so am posting this afternoon .... sorry.
Till later but we can now all cross one more thing off our individual bucket list.
