Day Four

Ahh ... the sites and sounds of Paris at night. We had a relaxing dinner and then headed out to see Montmartre - Sacre Coeur this evening. I believe this is the highest spot in Paris overlooking the city and the view is marvelous especially at night. I did take my tripod again and I think I got some decent pics.  And surprise surprise surprise we stopped and drank a nice bottle of wine on the way back to the apartment.
We got away a little early this morning and did a quick shopping trip to Galarie Lafayette. Didn't buy anything but Bun wanted to see where you buy linens. This is also where they have the ceiling stain glass window which absolutely everyone who visits Paris goes to see. I'll post a picture.
Lunch sitting on the steps of the L'Opera and about an hours sit in the Toulerie Jardins and that was about it today. Doesn't sound like a lot but it was a full day none the less. We also are waiting for Janice to arrive tomorrow and held back on museums and big time sites for her arrival.  Where going out to see Monet's garden in Giverney tomorrow. This is about an hour east of Paris by train and bus and we expect it to be quite interesting. I've been out there in the spring, it will be interesting to see the fall colours.  Weather is still holding up well, cool all day but not sweater weather. Thanks Lou you're doing a good job.
...
Oh I almost forgot, Bun took her sugar levels today and it was the lowest level in 4 years. See what all the walking does for you.... and the stairs ... and good eating ... and the red wine ... and being with her most pleasant brother .... and being in Paris .... and well ..... everything.
We also have a strange lock on our apartment that Tom says are illegal in Canada.  There is only one key and you have to use the key to get into and OUT of the apartment. So we all leave for our morning outing and we get outside and can't find Tom. We hear from above our heads Tom yelling to come and let him out. Turns out he was having a d...p in the WC and we locked him in the apartment .... And to make matters worse there was no beer in the fridge so if we left him behind he would have been dry.
Till tomorrow.
