Mercedes Benz Museum - Part III

The emblem for Daimler was a three pointed star, for Benz it was a wreath wrapped around his name. When the companies merged they combined to two and added Mercedes name to the emblem to get the new logo.

This was a wonderful museum tour and Marcus is better than one of those machines you pick up at the entrance to listen too as you move between displays. He has an incredible depth of knowledge on this company and I can honestly say it was the most informative visit to any museum of any kind in my life. We spent almost 5 hours discussing the history of these two brands.

The museum is in he shape of a double helix and you take an elevator to the top and walk down to the bottom circling through each display. Racing is at the very end. It is also the most visited museum dedicated to the automobile anywhere in the world. And well worth a side the trip to Stuttgart on its own and highly recommended for any auto buff when they are in Europe.

Life is good ... enjoy.
